Every Artihandmade® piece is crafted by artisans in our Moroccan workshops, where traditional techniques meet thoughtful design. From cutting and stitching leather to weaving natural rattan and shaping solid wood, each step is carried out with care and attention to detail.
Leather
We work with genuine leather, including full-grain leather selected for its natural character and distinctive texture. Depending on the design, our artisans cut leather into straps for handwoven furniture or stitch and embroider it by hand for bags and accessories.
Full-grain leather retains the natural surface of the hide. Over time, it can soften and develop a patina, giving each piece character that reflects its use and age. Natural variations in color and texture make every hide unique.
Solid Wood
Our furniture frames are crafted from solid teak, walnut, and oak. Each wood has its own grain, tone, and character, bringing warmth and individuality to every piece.
Solid wood can be maintained over time. Depending on the finish, minor scratches may be sanded out and the surface refinished, helping extend the life of your furniture.
Natural Rattan
Our rattan headboards feature natural cane woven by hand into open, airy patterns. These woven panels allow light to pass through while adding texture and a relaxed, natural feel to the bedroom.
Each panel reflects the care of the artisan who creates it, with subtle variations that make every piece distinctive.
How a Woven Leather Bench Is Made

Preparing the Materials
Our artisans cut the leather into individual straps and prepare the solid-wood components for the frame.

Handweaving the Leather
Each strap is woven over and under by hand, creating the bench's distinctive pattern and carefully finished surface.

Finishing the Wood
The frame is sanded and finished to highlight the wood's natural grain and complement the leather.

Preparing for Delivery
Once complete, the bench is carefully inspected, packed, and prepared for shipment to your door.
